What Mobility Does
Sedentary Lifestyle Correction
Sedentary lifestyles increase all causes of mortality, double the risk of cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, and obesity, and increase the risks of colon cancer, high blood pressure, osteoporosis, lipid disorders, depression and anxiety.
“It's not as hard as you may think. Better posture is often just a matter of changing your activities and strengthening your muscles,” says Saloni Doshi, a physical therapist with Harvard‑affiliated Brigham and Women's Hospital.
Longevity of Life
As little as 15 minutes of physical activity a day can increase your life span by as much as three years. Exercise produces significant benefit by lowering levels of damaging inflammation that affects heart and artery health.

Quality of Life
Stretching keeps the muscles flexible, strong, and healthy, and we need that flexibility to maintain a range of motion in the joints. Without it, the muscles shorten and become tight.
Studies have found that stretching is considered an effective method for increasing joint range of motion (ROM), and is often thought to improve performance and reduce the incidence of activity‑related injuries.
Increased Range of Motion
Research has shown that stretching can help improve flexibility, and consequentially, the range of motion of your joints. Better flexibility improves your performance in physical activities (and golf score ☺)
Stretching particularly benefits those with arthritis by lubricating joints and enhancing and maintaining range‑of‑motion.
